Quick glance

Below is a quick glance of yBars.

So, there are four indicators to this game:

• No guess yet (clear box) – The player has not yet entered a number in the input box
• Under guesstimate (light blue box) – You entered a number less than the height of the box
• Over guesstimate (red box) – The number entered is greater than the height of the box
• Successful match (green box) – Player successfully enters the height of the box

How to play the game

Most likely, you got the object of the game just by looking at the quick glance above. However, we will briefly describe how to play yBars.

To play yBars, simply enter a number from 10 to 99 in any input box. There is a box for each bar. After you enter a value, a few things will happen:

1. Successful match

   If you make a match, the bar will turn green and you will not be able to enter another number in the box. Additionally, you get an extra turn.
2. Under guesstimate

   A light blue bar will appear if you guessed under the height of the bar. The bar will remain intact until your next guess. However, you lose a turn and the input box clears. So, make sure you remember your previous guess.
3. Over guesstimate

   Finally, guessing above the height of any bar will produce a red box and end the game.

Initially, you get 4 tries. It seems like a lot. However, you can easily go through three tries on one bar. On the other hand, you get a free try upon completion of a bar.
