Steps to win at yBars
Follow the steps below to defeat yBars.
Step 1
Since we are starting a new game board, we will use smallest bar first. However, it is up to you.
So, our first guess is 30, which fills the bar blue and clears the input box. This indicates a wrong guess. But, we are still in the game. Also, you get to see how much space is left to complete the bar.
We estimate 6 more points to complete the bar. If we overestimate, the game is over.
Step 2
Continuing from step 1, we have to enter 36 (not 6) in the same box.
Note: We lost a try typing in just 6. Hence, the 3 tries instead of 4.
As a result of completing the bar, we gain an additional try. Your number remains in the input box, which will assist you in your next bar.
Step 3
Since we are going from smallest to largest, we know the next bar is above 36. To us, it looks like 43, but to be safe we will enter 40. It looks like the empty space is either 4 or 5 points.
Step 4
After entering 44, the bar is cleared and we gain another try. You only get a few tries in this game. Thus, be careful.
Step 5
The next bar looks at least 3 points above our previous pick. However, with a guess of 48, it leaves us short. The empty space looks like 4 points, or a total of 52.
Step 6
So, the estimated guess of 52 worked. Our next bar takes a big jump. It almost doubles the 44 bar.
Thus, we can make an estimated guess of 80. Three tries give us the confidence to miss. Otherwise, you may get that dreaded red bar.
Step 7
Our underestimation of 80 looks like it is 3 points off completion.
Step 8
So, 83 is on point. Lastly, we can complete the final bar with three tries left.
Step 9
The final bar must be greater than 83. Our estimated guess of 85 came close. The blank space looks like 1, for a total of 86.
Success!
Finally, we completed the game with a pick of 86 for the final bar. Phew, that was close.
