How to crop images directly in PowerPoint
Follow the steps below to cut parts of your image in PowerPoint. In this lesson, we will isolate the female character from the image.
The steps
Overall, we perform five steps in this lesson.

- Select Graphics Format or Picture Format from the menu bar
- Click Crop from the Size group, on far right
- If you clicked on the down arrow for Crop, then you will need to select Crop again from pull-down menu
Note: Since our image is in SVG format, the menu name is Graphics Format. Contrastly, other types of images may display Picture Format, in the menu bar.
After completing steps 1 to 4, crop selectors appear around our graphic.

Below is a quick description of how the crop selectors move.

Next, isolate the female character from the image.

- Click and drag the right crop selector to the left
As a result, our female character is separated from the original image.
Note: To bring the male character back, just drag the crop selector to the right.
Success!

So, were you successful in accomplishing this task? If not, then give it another shot.
On the whole, you can do a lot of stuff with cropping. Especially, with Gender Pop, such as single gender comparisons.
