Follow the steps below to show the developer ribbon in Excel.

Step 1: Add developer option to the main menu
Show developer toolbar - Shortcut menu to show the Customize the Ribbon... option.
You cannot right-click on a gray area to view the Customize the Ribbon… option from the shortcut menu.
  1. Right-click on any menu item, to show the shortcut menu.
  2. From the shortcut menu, select Customize the Ribbon…

Afterward, the Excel Options box opens for the Customize Ribbon section.

  2. Click Developer from the Main Tabs list.
